Cedarbrook is a neighborhood in the Olney/Oak Lane area of Philadelphia.  It has a rectangular shape that consists of four main boundaries. Cheltenham Avenue borders the northeast side of Cedarbrook, while Ivy Hill Road borders the northwest. Stenton Avenue divides Cedarbrook from East Mount Airy on the southwest side and Vernon road lies between West Oak Lane and Cedarbrook on the southeast corner.

The Ivy Hill neighborhood located in the northwestern part of Cedarbrook is often mistakenly called “Ivyhill Road”.  Its name most likely derives from the Ivy Hill cemetery that was established in 1867.

Today the Cedarbrook is made up of predominately African Americans, with a small percentage of Whites, Asians and Hispanics.
